1. Purpose of This Disclaimer

This Publisher & Third-Party Content Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") explains how Aplitiq Ltd ("Aplitiq," "we," "us," or "our") sources, displays, and links to news content within the ApliNews mobile application (the "App"), and clarifies our relationship with the publishers whose content is referenced. This Disclaimer is addressed both to users of the App and to news publishers and content owners whose material may appear, in summary or headline form, within ApliNews.

ApliNews is a content discovery tool, not a publisher. We do not create, write, edit, or take editorial responsibility for any third-party news article. We surface headlines and short summaries, and we direct readers to the original publisher's website for the full article.

2. How Content Is Sourced

ApliNews does not operate its own newsroom and does not directly scrape, copy, or republish full-text articles from publisher websites. Instead, news content metadata is retrieved through our content aggregation provider, Webz.io, which lawfully aggregates publicly available news data from a wide range of online news sources.

From this data, the App displays to users:

  • The article headline;
  • A short summary or excerpt of the article;
  • The name of the originating publisher and, where available, its logo or source attribution;
  • A direct link to the full article on the original publisher's website.

ApliNews does not display full article bodies within the App. Users who wish to read the complete article are directed, via an outbound link, to the original publisher's own website, where the publisher's own advertising, paywall, subscription, and analytics systems apply.

3. No Endorsement or Affiliation

The inclusion of any publisher's content, name, logo, or link within the App does not imply, and should not be construed as, any endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, partnership, or business relationship between Aplitiq and that publisher, unless such a relationship has been separately and explicitly agreed in writing.

Similarly, the order, prominence, or frequency with which any publisher's content appears within the App is generally determined by automated and/or personalization processes, and does not reflect any editorial endorsement by Aplitiq of that publisher or its content.

4. No Editorial Control or Verification

Aplitiq does not independently verify, fact-check, investigate, or edit the news content aggregated and summarized within the App.

All news content originates from independent third-party publishers who retain sole responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, legality, and editorial quality of their own reporting. Views, opinions, and factual claims expressed in aggregated content are those of the originating publisher and its authors, and do not represent the views of Aplitiq.

We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any aggregated content, including headlines and summaries, which are generated through automated or semi-automated summarization processes and may not perfectly reflect the nuance of the original article.

5. Intellectual Property and Fair Use of Excerpts

We are mindful of, and seek to respect, the intellectual property rights of news publishers. Our approach is designed around the following principles:

  • We display only short headlines and brief summaries or excerpts of articles — not full article text — and we do not reproduce a publisher's content in a manner intended to substitute for a visit to the publisher's own website.
  • We attribute all content to its originating publisher and provide a direct, prominent link back to the original article on the publisher's site.
  • We do not strip, obscure, or interfere with publishers' own advertising, paywalls, or subscription mechanisms; users are directed to the publisher's site to access the full article under whatever terms that publisher applies.
  • We do not claim ownership of, and disclaim any proprietary interest in, the underlying news content, trademarks, or logos belonging to third-party publishers, beyond the limited display necessary for aggregation and attribution.

This approach is intended to align with Moroccan Law No. 2-00 on copyright and related rights, as well as general principles recognized in many jurisdictions permitting limited use of excerpts for the purposes of commentary, indexing, and content discovery. This Disclaimer does not constitute legal advice, and Aplitiq Ltd does not warrant that this approach satisfies the requirements of every jurisdiction in which content may be viewed.

6. Publisher Rights and Opt-Out Requests

We respect the right of publishers to control how their content is referenced. If you are a publisher, content owner, or authorized representative and you believe that:

  • Your content has been aggregated, summarized, or attributed inaccurately;
  • You wish for your content to no longer be aggregated or displayed within ApliNews; or
  • You have any other concern regarding the use of your content within the App,

please contact us at aplinews-contact@aplitiq.com with details sufficient to identify the content and source in question (e.g., the publication name, website domain, and, if possible, specific article URLs). We will review such requests in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe, and, where appropriate, will work with our content provider, Webz.io, to action the removal of the relevant source from our aggregation pipeline.

7. Notice and Takedown

If you believe that content displayed within ApliNews infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please submit a notice to aplinews-contact@aplitiq.com including: (i) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (ii) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location within the App; (iii) your contact information; and (iv) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will promptly investigate and, where warranted, remove or disable access to the relevant content within the App.

8. Relationship to Our Terms of Service

This Disclaimer supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this Disclaimer and the Terms of Service specifically with respect to third-party news content, this Disclaimer shall govern.

9. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in our content sourcing practices, provider relationships, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
